Father Jim’s Official Installation as Pastor

August 2017

After an extensive period of discernment, at the end of July 2007, Fr. Jim Graham resigned from his position as a Case Manager with the State of Oregon, Department of Human Services, Adult & Family Services Division, and travelled to Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, to begin his studies for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Portland.  He graduated with a M.Div. in May of 2012 and was ordained on June 9, 2012 in the largest group of men ever to be ordained in the history of the Archdiocese.  Without spending anytime as a Parochial Vicar, Archbishop Vlazny assigned Fr. Jim to be the Parish Administrator at Holy Name Parish in Coquille, Oregon along with Sts. Ann & Michael Mission Parish in Myrtle Point, Oregon.  In July 2013, Fr. Jim also became the Parish Administrator at Holy Redeemer Parish in North Bend, Oregon, and has served as Parish Administrator of all three parishes since that time.  On June 23, 2017, Archbishop Sample appointed Fr. Jim Graham as Pastor of all three parishes effective July 1, 2017.

Pictured here is Fr. Robert Wolf, pastor of St. Monica’s Parish in Coos Bay and acting with the delegated authority of Archbishop Sample, reading the appointment letter from Archbishop Sample, as well as, the Decree of Appointment as Pastor at the installation mass held at Holy Redeemer Parish on August 5, 2017?  Also pictured is Deacon Peter Broussard, assisting in vesting Fr. Jim for the occasion; Fr. Jim Graham as he makes his Statement of Faith and takes the Oath of Fidelity before the assembly; Fr. Jim making a few pastoral comments to parishioners; and members of all three parishes, including members of all parish councils, standing and applauding in affirmation of the appointment.

The Lord said: "Come Follow Me!"
